Hollow Wisp is a free, ad-free survivor roguelike for Android. Guide a small spirit through waves of nightmare creatures, collect XP, and turn a handful of gentle-looking weapons into a powerful build.

How do you play Hollow Wisp?

Use the on-screen joystick to move with one thumb. Your weapons attack automatically, so focus on positioning, dodging enemies, and collecting the XP gems they drop.

1. Begin with Mira. Start a Classic run from Home. Choose an arena, or let Random choose for you.
2. Keep a path open. Move through gaps in the swarm. Circle back for XP when the space is clear.
3. Choose an upgrade when you level up. Add weapons, strengthen the ones you have, or choose passives that support your build.
4. Learn the boss patterns. Classic has boss encounters at 4, 8, and 12 minutes, drawn from a roster of five bosses. Watch for telegraphed attacks.
5. Survive, then clear the field. After 15 minutes, new enemy spawning stops. Defeat the remaining enemies and bosses to complete the run.

The world is cozy. The survival challenge still asks you to dodge, plan, and learn. An early defeat is a chance to try a different build.

How do weapons and evolutions work?

There are 10 base weapons and 10 evolved forms. Botanical and celestial weapons include Wand Sparkle, Petal Storm, Moon Beam, Tea Kettle, Firefly Lure, and Ivy Whip. Base weapons upgrade through three tiers.

Evolution recipes unlock as your account progresses. Check the in-game Codex for discovered recipes and pair the required weapon with its matching passive. Build toward a recipe while keeping enough damage and defense to survive the next wave.

How do you unlock more Guardians?

Mira the Dreamer is your starting Guardian. Seven more wisps are available to unlock: Luna, Fern, Solstice, Firelight, Comet, Starling, and Ivy. Each has a different starting weapon, passive bonus, and signature trait.

Earn resources through play and use the Guardian picker to see current unlock requirements. Permanent upgrades help you grow stronger between Classic runs. Missions and your account journey provide more goals to work toward.

What is Daily Dream?

Daily Dream is a five-minute challenge with a shared Guardian, arena, and daily rule. It changes on the UTC day. Permanent shop upgrades and arena gameplay modifiers do not apply, while Guardian passives and traits remain active.

You receive two free entries per day. An optional third entry costs 30 gems. Upgrade rerolls and gem revives are disabled in Daily Dream. Your Daily result is separate from your Classic best score.

Can you play offline? Are there ads?

Classic core gameplay works offline. Rankings, purchases, and connected account features require an internet connection. Hollow Wisp is ad-free for everyone on the current Android release: no banners, ad breaks, or rewarded videos.

The game is free to download. Optional purchases include a permanent Dreamkeeper Starter Pack and Coin and Gem packs. Classic offers a 25-gem revive once per run and 5-gem rerolls, capped at three per level-up. There is no gacha.

Purchases require a recoverable linked account. Optional Google Play Games cloud progress saves selected progression. Currency recovery is handled separately through your linked account; cloud progress is not a complete backup of every local setting or balance.
